Terms and Conditions:

By accepting any quotation, estimate, or by engaging R Thorpe Heating and Plumbing LTD, be it verbally or in writing/email/ text or WhatsApp message, you are hereby agreeing to the below Terms and Conditions in full, and understand that these relate to any and all works undertaken.

Any use of the word "We" or "Our" relates to R Thorpe Heating and Plumbing Ltd and any Staff working on our behalf. 
Any use of the term "Client", "You/Your, Yourself" or "Customer" relates to the person/s engaging our services.

:- Timings given are estimates, and due to the nature of our industry and type of work we carry out, we cannot guarantee timings be it arrival times or length of work. We will do our best to keep you updated.
Work may be rescheduled if we are unable to attend or unable to complete work in a predetermined time frame. We reserve the right to do this. If this happens any rescheduled jobs will be made absolute priority.

:- Our Staff reserve the right to work in a smoke free environment away from animals.

:- Our staff reserve the right to terminate any work immediately if they feel unsafe, threatened, or are subject to any type of verbal or physical abuse or derogatory behaviour. 
This will be reported to the Police if necessary and any costs/losses incurred will be recovered via a solicitor. 

:- Quotes/estimates are valid for 30 days.

:- All blind quotes are based on assumptions that the existing installation/property is fully compliant with current regulations.
Blind quotes/estimates may be subject to additional costs if the work is not as assumed, this will be discussed with clients as and when. 

:- All materials supplied are owned by R Thorpe Heating and Plumbing Ltd  until corresponding invoice is paid in full, even after installation. 

:- Quotes given do not include additional works that the client/customer may request, if additional works are required they will be quoted for separately.

:- Any required certification will only be issued when payment is received in full and all funds have cleared.

:- It is the clients responsibility to ensure permission, building warrants and authorisation for any/all work required.
If work requires access from neighbours/adjoining properties then it is the clients responsibility to liaise with the aforementioned peoples to ensure this access is made available. Any time or costs lost from a no-access situation is chargeable at our standard hourly rate.

:- Payment terms: Full Payment required on or before payment date given on invoice. 
We take payment by BACS, Card (in person), Cash (this must be agreed on before commencment of works). Alternatively we can send a payment link for remote card payments. 
Card payments over £500.00 are subject to a 2% fee to cover transaction charges.

:- If you have issues with your payment or believe the payment terms or timings are incorrect it is your responsibility to contact R Thorpe Heating and Plumbing Ltd immediately and open discussions to rectify this.

:- If payment terms are not met, and following payment reminders are not adhered to, we reserve the right to charge interest at 2% per day from the 1st day the invoice is Overdue.
  
If payment terms are breached beyond 30 days overdue, R Thorpe Heating and Plumbing Ltd may engage a solicitor or recovery agent to begin recovery of payment in full, including interest incurred and all associated costs of solicitor/recovery fees and any associated court proceedings. 

:- We provide 12 Months warranty on parts, labour and materials that are supplied and installed by R Thorpe Heating and Plumbing Ltd.
Wear and tear, 3rd party interference or consumer damage/misuse are not included under this clause. Warranty also may not be provided if the client specifies certain products that they wish for us to supply that may make returns/refunds difficult e.g products purchased from foreign countries.

:- Warranty is only provided on materials or products supplied and installed by R Thorpe Heating and Plumbing Ltd, and is subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms and duration. 

:- Any jobs carried out under warranty may only be done by ourselves or the manufacturer, we will not be liable were you to use another contractor.

:- After removal of fixtures or fittings, any making good or decorative repair work of internal or external walls/ceilings/floors/ joinery will not be the responsibility of R Thorpe Heating and Plumbing Ltd unless otherwised discussed or stated. 


Client/ Customer Obligations :

:- It is the client/customers responsibility to ensure the property/site is secure and safe for work. In the event of a theft from any site, we will not be liable to replace any stolen materials that have been installed or partly installed. Re-installing and supplying lost/stolen materials will chargeable.

:- The client agrees to allow our staff access to a working toilet and running water for hygine reasons, (either allowing the use of the client toilet, or providing a clean portable toilet on site) throughout the duration of the job.

 By accepting a quotation or estimate, or by engaging our services, be it verbally or in writing/message, you understand your rights of the cooling off period of 14 Days under “The Consumer Rights Act 2015” is waived and voided to proceed with the works to be carried out.
